Making House Cleaning a Breeze

Making house cleaning a breeze may sound like a stretch considering the current state that you may find your home. After all, you may have let the house cleaning slide for some time now and be facing an absolute uphill battle. However, it is attainable to make your house cleaning as easy as pie and you can actually go about it in a couple of different ways.

The first way in which you can make house cleaning a breeze is by hiring someone to do it for you. There are many maid services that could care less how badly your house needs to be cleaned and they will gladly come in and clean your house from top to bottom. Once they are gone, you will be left with a clean home and a great feeling, but this may not be an option for you.

As nice as it would be for everyone to be able to afford their own personal maid service, the fact is that not everyone can and you might find yourself in the same boat. This is where you have to just face the facts and realize that you have to go at it yourself. However, you can still make you’re your house cleaning a breeze even if you have to go at it all alone.

First of all in order to make house cleaning a breeze, you have to first get the entire house in order and cleaned up in every nook and cranny. While this may seem like a challenge you simply can’t take on all by yourself, the important thing to remember is that you probably can, as long as you don’t take it on all at once.

One of the biggest mistakes that people make with house cleaning is they attempt to clean their homes from top to bottom in one single day, or maybe over a weekend. This is not only near impossible, but it is also anything but a breeze. Instead of wasting an entire day, or even weekend, cleaning from top to bottom, spread it out over a week or so.

Each day, designate a certain amount of time in which you will devote to house cleaning. This can be two hours, one hour, or less if you so desire. The point is to make some kind of time commitment so you are almost forcing yourself to get the job done. Once you decide how much time to devote each day to getting your home back in order, you then need to put together a game plan to make the plan turn to action.

It helps if you break up your home in sections and focus on one room or section at a time. Otherwise, you will only clean parts of several rooms and this will lead you to never completing your task of cleaning the entire home.

Always start with rooms that are used the least as these rooms will stay cleaner much longer after you have thoroughly cleaned them over rooms that are seeing frequent use. A good example is to start with a guest room that is seldom used versus starting off with the bathroom that most of your household uses on a daily basis. By staggering your cleaning this way and saving the higher traffic areas for last, you will be able to maintain a more equal balance of clean as you are cleaning each section of your home. The end result will be a house that is clean almost all the way around.

Once you have worked the designated time each night for a week or so, your house will be spic and span and you can then sit back and marvel over the wonderful job you did. However, you shouldn’t marvel for too long because this will be the time that you can guarantee that house cleaning always remains a breeze. How you will do this is by maintaining your cleaning on a consistent basis.

Now that your house will be ship-shape you can keep it that way with a little more devotion of your time on a daily basis. Just as you did before when your house was a disaster, devote a certain amount of time each day for house cleaning. The main difference this time will be that you will only have to probably devote 20 to 30 minutes each day as opposed to the hour or two that you did before. So while you will still have to give up a bit of your time, it will go much quicker as the time will be minimal.

Another difference that you will notice is that it is much easier to keep an already clean and organized house clean and organized. While this sounds like a cliché, it is all about making house cleaning a breeze and nothing makes cleaning easier than dealing with clean things.

What you will find when your house is maintained as opposed to being let go for an extended amount of time is that the maintenance cleaning is a lot faster and much less strenuous. Where you may have had to scrub before, you only have to wipe off now. Where you may have had to sweep and mop, you may only have to lightly sweep. The best part is that as long as you don’t let it get out of control, the maintenance will remain just that easy.

Making house cleaning a breeze isn’t a statement that sounds like it could actually be true, but if you approach it in just the right manner, it certainly can be. No matter how messy and cluttered your home might be, just remember that it is only going to get worse with each passing day. The sooner you get to the weeklong cleaning that you know needs to be done anyway, the sooner you can get to the maintenance cleaning. Unless you can afford to hire a maid service that is in fact your only option so you might as well embrace it.
